1) Art of Money - Bari Tessler. I took her class years ago. She’s got such a benevolently therapeutic way of dealing with your money story and how to overcome negativity around your association with money.
2) A Bit of Optimism - Simon Sinek. Here he is again! I love this one when I need a boost of feel good medicine. A few that stand out for me: his interview with Kyle Carpenter was amazing, also Mathew Barzun, my Shero Sara Blakely, and Brene Brown, to name a few.
3) The Kelly Roach show - she has some good nuggets of info. She speaks more to women who are already established and making bigger money, but a lot of the info is still really good.
4) Tony Robbins - he’s a very controversial figure, I know, and I can only take him in small doses, but I have learned some very valuable business mindset lessons from him and his interview with Sara Blakely is basically my favorite EVER!! I’ve listened to it several times for some MAJOR inspiration!
5) She’s Got Moxie - Joy Chudacoff - my former biz coach and friend. Her podcast, which is all interviews with women entrepreneurs, is usually terrific with lots of good info, tips and mindset practices. She has a lot of heavy hitters on there. My favorites though, are Charlene Simon of Bathhouse soaps, Maxine Clark from Build a Bear, Betsy Meyers, and my #1 favorite - Julie Deane of Cambridge Satchel.

These are books I’ve read, many of them repeatedly. They deal with leadership and building teams, creativity, budgeting your time, empowerment and creating wealth/abundance, honing in on your strengths and reducing your ‘busy’ time, growth and scaling
Remember that not all books you read will resonate with you and the goal when reading any business or creativity mindset book is to find even two or three soundbites that resonate with you and generate ideas and your own creativity about your business. Take notes on the lines or ideas that really stand out for you. If you start one and realize it’s just not for you, stop reading it. You don’t need to waste time. Put it aside, it may be a better book later on or it may never be a good choice for you so move on.
Ok now listen - I want to start the year off with a mitzvah - you all KNOW how seriously I take my donuts and how much I loathe vegan donuts in general. But I am here to tell you that I had a vegan one from Trejo’s and not only was it phenomenal, I absolutely could not even tell it was vegan. It was light, fluffy, perfect consistency and not too sweet, had none of that awful heavy funky taste that vegan donuts usually have. So I hear-by declare these V donuts outstanding and worthy of the LC seal of approval. You’re welcome.
